For electricians · after-hours included
Sureline answers an electrical contractor's phone around the clock on its existing number, books the outage call, takes the quote request with the details you need, and wakes you only for a burning smell or sparking. It costs about 8.3¢ a minute plus $2 a month for each pathway you keep live: a month of quotes and outages, 30 calls, comes to $12.32.
Thirty calls a month, most of them quotes. The agent gathers what an estimate needs before you ever drive out, and books the outage calls into the next open slot.
Calls taken as four minutes each. A quiet month costs less; there is no minimum.
What the agent handles
The same month elsewhere
Sureline bills the minutes. Rosie bills a tier of minutes and Goodcall a tier of callers, whether the phone rings or not.
Retell, Rosie, Goodcall and Smith.ai from their public pricing pages, read 2 September 2026 · Retell at 8.8¢ to 13¢ a minute depending on the language model, plus $2 a number · Sureline at the published starting rate, carrier time on a local number included · calls taken as four minutes each
How it starts
Start from the Contractor receptionist template: the calls above are already on its canvas, with the questions each one asks. Sureline reads your website for hours, service area and prices, and the setup agent asks about anything it could not find.
Then forward your number. It never leaves your carrier; a dialed code turns the forwarding off. Nothing to port, nothing to give up. If you would rather the agent only take nights and weekends, set the hours and it stays quiet while you are open.
Every call lands in one inbox with the transcript, the audio and the text thread, and the ones that need you arrive as a text with the summary already written.
FAQ
It connects to Housecall Pro directly and to most other schedulers through Zapier. Without a connection it still takes the booking, holds it in your inbox and texts you the details.
If you tell it to. Most electricians let it ask the caller to check the panel and reset a tripped breaker once, and book a visit if that does not hold. It will not tell anyone to open a panel cover.
What you tell it to: the address, the age of the home, the service size if they know it, what they want done and when they are available. It puts all of it in one text and one transcript.
A month with 15 calls is about $7.16 all in. There is no minimum and no plan to downgrade.
